NEC府中吹奏楽団第２５回記念演奏会委嘱作品として作曲されたこの作品は、２０００年３月下旬に作曲され、同年５月２７日、同団定期演奏会で作曲者自身の指揮、森田倒明氏のユーフォニアムソロで初演されました。 それと同時にピアノ伴奏用も創作され、その初演は２０００年１０月１５日、ユーフォニアム奏者、福田昌範氏、ピアノ伴奏 高山万名美氏によって初演されました。
作曲者は、かつてユーフォニアム奏者として活動しており、当時、ユーフォニアムの作品があまりにも少なかった事から、ユーフォニアムの為の作品を創作しようと心に留めており、また、森田倒明氏が同団団長であった事、更に、第２５回記念演奏会とも重なり、この作品を創作する良い機会に恵まれ作曲したものです。タイトルは、作品の規模も大きくなく、独奏もアマチュアの方でも楽しめる様にと配慮され、理解しやすく、広く色々な方に演奏して頂きたいと願い名付けられたものです。Allgretto, Andante, Allegroの三つの部分に分かれ、二つのカデンツァも含まれて構成されています。

This pice is commissioned by NEC Fuchu Concert band on 2000.
The premiere performance was conducted by the composer with the band at 25th anniversary concert on May 27, 2000.
The composer has thought to compose for Euphonium Solo and band because Akira Had studied Euphonium. One of the reason to compose was Mr. Morita who is the head of NEC Concert Band is a good Euphonium player. Another reason is the concert is 25th anniversary concert.
The work is consist of three parts, Allegretto, Andante, Allegro and two cadenzas. It is no difficult to play. Even hi school student ca play the Euphonium solo.
