Grandfather's Clock Variations / おじいさんの古時計変奏曲
２００１年１月27日、NEC府中吹奏楽団第１１回ウインターコンサートにおいて、作曲者自身の指揮で初演されたこの作品は、世界中の人々に親しまれ歌われている「おじいさんの古時計」をテーマに７つのバリエイション、 Allegro、Andante、Allegretto、Andantino、Allregro con brio、Allegro moderato、Allegro vivace で構成されています。
いずれのバリエイションも簡潔に書かれ、技術的にも比較的易しく、広い層の演奏者にも親しめる作品となっています。
ブラバンド用には２０１１年に編曲され、同年６月に山本武雄 氏 指揮、東京ブラス・ソサエティの皆さんによって初演されました。

The premiere was by Akira Toda and NEC Concert Band on January 27, 2001 at 11th Winter Concert. The music consists of a theme and Seven variations. The theme is Grand-Father's Clock that is very famous song and has be sung in the world. Seven variations consists of Allegro, Andante, Allegretto, Andantino, Allegro con brio, Allegro moderato and Allegro vivace.
All of 7 variations is concise styles and all players are able to perform in relative comfort.
